Autumn In Michigan

My daughter and I went on another picture-taking expedition today. Surprisingly enough, the ones I took turned out really good, too.

I was just playing around with the camera here, but love the way it turned out.

Love, love, love the reds!

More reds…

This was just too perfect to pass up.

The lighting was cool, but the crops (?) fascinated me.

My daughter liked the fuzzy stuff in the front.

Just because. I wish the sun hadn’t been quite so bright there though.

A cool, old fence.

Who ever would have thought a cemetery could be so pretty?

One of the country roads we traveled today.

Getting a bit too dark to be taking pictures now.

Great pics. Fall is the best time of year. Can’t beat the changing colors in the midwest and east.

    • It is the best time of year…followed by the ‘w’ season…as long as it comes with plenty of snow. I know. I said the ‘s’ word. Can’t help it. I’m jealous of all the states that are getting it already. Although I think the U.P. is getting it, too…but it’s still not falling here. 🙂

Please don’t use the ‘s’ word around me – it’s like swearing. hehehe

I had a colonel in the AF who, when asked where he was going to retire, replied by saying, “I’m going to put a snow plow on my pickup, drive far enough south where they ask me ‘What the ***k is that,’ and drive another 30 miles farther south.”

        I loved that answer! 😀

LOL…too funny. I hope I never get to that place though. There’s not much of anything I enjoy more than sitting by a window watching it snow. The only things that make it better is Christmas music in the background, some candles where I can see them (and the cats can’t get NEAR them), and a cup of hot cocoa in hand. 🙂

            Or cream of wheat. 🙂

Oh you are mean. I LOVE Cream of Wheat. Unfortunately, it’s not gluten free. Of course I will have it one of these days. Unless the buckwheat (?) stuff I bought is a good substitute. Then again, I really like oatmeal, too. As long as it has brown sugar. 🙂

  2. I live just across the border from lower Michigan, so this looks like home to me 🙂

looking forward to getting the rewrite finished and the physical challenges over so I have time to get acquainted with more bloggers.

Great pictures Kristy. I agree with Tameri. Hope it doesn’t take pain to keep the pictures coming. until later L&P

  5. Leaves are just beginning to change here in southern Ontario. Love fall! Great pics.

  6. Wow, you get some gorgeous colors in the fall. I’m so jealous! We get brown or green all year round. Mostly brown, and not a pretty, chocolatey brown either. Thanks for sharing your photo expedition with us. Please take more!

    • Sounds like our fall season last year, Tameri. It was so ‘blah’ that it was depressing. This is one of the reasons I love Michigan so much. And I’ll probably be sharing more pics on Monday. 🙂

By the way, what you just described sounds like this past winter, too. Hardly any snow…and just icky, brownish green grass. Yuck!

Lovely. I always thought Winter was my favourite season but I’m finding myself liking Autumn more this year.
