…after freezing my way through a bonfire Saturday night, and continuing to freeze all day today, I’m kind of getting into the Christmas spirit. In fact, I’m sitting here listening to Straight No Chaser carols, and wondering if it’s way too early to hang a string of colored lights in my office window. The only thing that’s stopping me is that it can be seen from the road.
So who is like me, and getting ready to start gift shopping now…and having to rein in the desire to plaster your house with Santa’s, stars, and garland? And who is sitting here saying, Bah! Humbug!???
Whether you’re starting to feel the Christmas spirit, or heading to Scrooge’s house to partake in a little pre-holiday gloom fest, here’s a heads up. Seventy-seven days…that’s 77 days…shopping days left.
And for those who just can’t bear the thought…
***Early Christmas present for me…***
Go for it, I’m a big Christmas fan, I’d keep decorations up year round if I could (William would have a nervous breakdown), and the carols, I listen to them whenever I feel like it.
Wow, I’m way behind on my comments! Just been that kind of week, I’m afraid. Hi, Katrina! Yay for another Christmas fan! And tell William that nervous breakdowns can be fun sometimes. I try to schedule them regularly. 🙂
Me too, but he’s a ‘regular’ therapist, and sees our “fun” nervous break downs as something to be concerned about, lmao, he’ll get over it. Love the post!
LOL…let’s call them meltdowns then. Glad you enjoyed the post. 🙂
Nothing wrong with getting Christmas going early. It’s such a special time of year. I do love Christmas music too. I’m not as into the buying the gifts early because it’s tough to spend money too far in advance.
MJ…early Christmas shopping spreads the bill out over two or three months, instead of all at once. It also saves having to deal with the shoppers who check their holiday spirit at the door every time they enter a store. Best of all…NO crowds. Of course Amazon.com helps the most for that. 🙂
Christmastime is special. I’ll admit that I listen to Christmas music year round…but let’s keep that our little secret, okay? I don’t want people thinking I’m TOO weird. 🙂
I’m a DEVOTED Amazon shopper, as you know. Even my K-cups come from there. 🙂
I don’t know what K-cups are, but I’ve been in love with Amazon for about three years now. If I could just figure out how to buy clothes from there, I’d only ever have to leave the house for groceries. 🙂
K-cups are used with the Keurig coffee machine. It’s the best.
You can buy clothes from Amazon, and then you would only have to leave for groceries. They even have a lot of grocery items now.
Um, yeah! I am sooo there. Best Christmas movie EVER! No enemy. Never.
I can hardly wait for it to come out. There seems to be some confusion over the release date. The trailer says December, IMDB says Valentine’s Day. It doesn’t matter. I’m watching it whenever it’s here. 🙂
It clearly looks like a Christmas movie.
Absolutely one of the most ‘festive potential’ I’ve seen in a while. 😉
I love Christmas so this is not a problem, at all. thanks for sharing
Glad to hear you’re a Christmas lover too, Louise. 🙂
No enemy here! I love the holiday season with Christmas lights, music, etc. I cheat a little by having some Christmas lights in my office year-round. They just make me happy. I say if you want to put up some lights ~ do it!
Yay! I hate that whole Lone Ranger feeling. I left my Christmas village on my office book shelves this year. I just like looking at them. And I just might put a string of lights up this weekend. Maybe I’ll put them on the top part of my desk though. 🙂
Straight, No Chaser can get practically anyone in the Christmas mood.
I agree! I love watching their videos. 🙂
