Colons Obstruct Vision While Driving

Maybe it’s just because more days are warmer this month than not, but whatever the reason, a lot of contortionists seem to be on the road lately. It doesn’t matter if they’re texting and driving, talking on or dialing their cell phones…or they just happen to think that traffic laws don’t apply to them. No matter how I look at it, every single one of them is putting my life, the lives of everyone I care about…and even those I don’t know…in danger. And I’m tired of it.

In the wrong hands, vehicles are weapons. Big, deadly weapons.

Encourage those you know to drive responsibly. Drinking and driving isn’t the only thing that can change lives forever.

I just shared this on Twitter. It is crazy that we have to keep talking about it, but there’s that “It’ll never happen to me” syndrome. Thanks for the reminder, Kristy!

Thanks, Diana. I still can’t believe how many people I see playing with their phones while they’re sitting behind the wheel of a moving vehicle. One day I was waiting to pullout of a parking lot and I’m 99% sure the way the woman who drove by was sitting, her phone was plugged into the charger in her cigarette lighter…while trying to talk on the phone. I only know the pose because I’ve done the same thing…with one exception. I was parked when I was doing it. I really wanted to follow her wherever she was going and demand who she thought she was. Risking the lives of others because someone can’t put their stupid phone down…or pull over somewhere…is the height of selfishness. And if they can’t care about others…what about themselves? Isn’t their own life worth using a little common sense? It makes me so angry!
