Some Exciting News!

Those of you who have liked my Facebook page, or who get my newsletter, know I was sick for most of a month. Half of May and half of June with a summer cold that kind of went away … then returned with a vengeance. It wasn’t pretty and I was totally exhausted by the time it finally finished with me. And in between, I got to take care of a sick Aria, who caught the darned thing from me (and that’s probably why I got it a second time).

In the middle of all of this, I got word that not only was the audible version of Lying Low in Paradise available on Audible on June second, but The Daddy Pact quickly followed on June eighth! It’s just taken me this long to feel well enough to let everyone know.

If you want to listen to either book, you can actually do it for free – with a 30-day trial from Audible. You can cancel the account at any time … and keep whichever one you chose. Best of all, when you choose one of my books with the trial, you not only get the free audible book, but the narrators and I still get paid! How cool is that?!

And that’s not the only exciting news! A month or so ago – before I got sick – an idea for a new Coach’s Boys story began to germinate. I wasn’t sure it was something that would go any further but it did. And so Kelly O’Hara … Cal’s father in Code Red Christmas … is going to get his own book.

As you may recall, Kelly met Susan Hughes (Wendy’s sister from Holding Out For Love) at a fundraiser in The Detective’s Second Chance. Seems they’re destined to run into each other again in the not too distant future.

  1. Sounds like the kind of thing going through my house, too. I thought I was the only one. Ironically, this came at a time when I thought, “Summer’s here. That means no one will get sick!” That’ll show me to say that one aloud ever again.

Congratulations on the audiobooks and your upcoming projects!!

I guess this cold bug is everywhere this summer. I’m really hoping it’s gone for good in this house. Dang, The cough was so bad I kept hurting my back and ribs. Hope yours isn’t that bad. Regardless, we’ll cross our fingers that it leaves us and our families alone now. 😀

And thank you. I think I could start getting into audio books (because I’ve certainly enjoyed listening to mine, lol). They would be great to turn on while cleaning or driving. 🙂

I hope you’re feeling better Kristy. We’ve had the crud here too. It comes and goes. Tough one to get rid of. Hope you can get some rest.

Thanks, Karen. I am feeling better. Just a little lingering cough. Aria’s is hanging on too, but it’s not too bad for either of us. I’ve been sanitizing everything we touch in an effort to avoid round three for me and two for her. I’m sorry you’re having to deal with it too. That virus is zero fun and needs to go away from both our households soon! 😀
