My Book Progress
Steven34.9%Welcome!
Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

Music video showcases the violent ripple effect of impaired driving
I have loved this video from the first time I saw it. Such a heart-wrenching visual about what can happen when someone drinks and drives. Tragedies like this don’t just affect the victims in the other car, it affects everyone … Continue reading
My Heroes
I swear I hate going to parades sometimes. Okay, I hate going to them every time. Mostly because I stand there making a fool out of myself. Without fail, marching bands make me tear up. I don’t know why. Then … Continue reading
The Death of Courtesy
I believe that 2012 will go down in history as one of the ugliest years ever. At least as far as politics goes. (Oh no! She’s gonna talk about that now that it’s all over!) No, I’m not. Well, not technically. At … Continue reading
Secret Ballots? I Don’t Think So.
Okay, so I know I said I was going to cut back on my posting through December, and likely through the holiday season, but I’m just really offended right now. For several years now, I’ve noticed something when I vote … Continue reading
I Wonder When the Withdrawals Will Start?
So… Today marks the beginning of a change in my blog schedule. At least for the month of NaNo (as in National Novel Writing Month-November, aka NaNoWriMo). I’m so used to blogging three days a week, and the last attempt … Continue reading
So Far So….Great!
I was going to post my NaNoWriMo updates right here on Sundays, then decided I would just give them a page all their own, hence the new NaNo Diary tab. I just don’t feel that it’s a blog-worthy subject and, … Continue reading
Too Cynical?
On one hand, I’m far too trusting. Unless someone gives me a reason, I give them the benefit of the doubt. Usually. But I’ve seen the subject of helping ‘panhandlers’ out come up a couple of times recently, and both … Continue reading
Slow, Deep Breaths…Pep Talk!
Okay, so if you saw the blog yesterday, you know I went to the NaNoWriMo Kickoff party and… Yeah. I guess I’m going to give it a shot. I’d say I’m going to do it, but I’ve accepted the fact … Continue reading
Today Is Full of Nice Surprises
First, after much waffling over it, I finally decided to attend the local NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) Kickoff party in Lansing, MI. Many of you know I keep a third shift schedule, so attending an early afternoon event isn’t … Continue reading
Misadventures In Home Ownership, Part 3 (rerun)
And now for the final installment… I quickly called the second cleaning service back to let them know we finally got the lid off and they could come anytime. Uh-huh. Given it was now late afternoon, we’d have to wait … Continue reading
