My Book Progress
Steven34.9%Welcome!
Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

Toilet Paper Wedding Gowns
I wish I could tell you how I manage to find – or even think of – some the unusual subjects I share with you here. Seriously. One minute, I’ll feel normal. I’ll be having some normal, every day kinds … Continue reading
A Cheap Date
Date nights can be a challenge in this economy. The cost of living means a good restaurant meal can cost an arm and a leg. And something as simple as going to see a movie? Yikes! If you buy a … Continue reading
Excerpts and Updates
In trying to get back into the habit of blogging again, I thought I’d share another short excerpt, another song from my writing playlist, though tonight I’m revising an outline. It’s always interesting when you’re partway through a story and … Continue reading
Roommates or Lovers?
I have a question for you. It doesn’t matter if you’re a guy (Romeo) or a gal (Juliet). What I’d like to know is this – how are your romantic gestures being received? Are you even making romantic gestures? If grades were … Continue reading
AWOL For Too Long
When looking at my blogging history for the past year or so, I just kind of hang my head. I’ve blamed everything from life’s demands to having a hard time adjusting to having a baby/toddler in the house again. The … Continue reading
A Little Nervous – and a Lot Excited!
A few weeks ago, fellow author Ruth Ann Nordin invited me to be part of a project for next year. A project that involves mail-order brides in the 1800s. Of course I said yes! And then I said, “yikes!” I’ve … Continue reading
3 Really Good Romantic Movies!
What makes a movie romantic? What is it that draws us in and keeps us glued to our seats, mindlessly munching buttery, artery clogging popcorn as we wait, breathlessly, for that final ‘aw’ inspiring scene? That moment we know our … Continue reading
Sneak Peek – Weko1 – Wesley Cooper (and a confession)
Day four of the 2016 NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing month (a worldwide writing challenge), and I’m not too far off the daily goal. In fact, I may be able to catch up tonight. Well, looking at the time – 12:26 … Continue reading
Prince, Frog … or Wart on the Frog?
It’s probably fair to say that most every girl in the world has seen, or read, romantic fairytales. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White… I could list more, but you get the idea. Why are little girls (and sometimes not so … Continue reading
Snippet From the New Book
I am having a blast working on this story! I wish I had a title, but so far, I don’t have a clue. But that’s okay. Weko 1 will work until I figure it out. As long as I know … Continue reading
