My Book Progress
Steven34.9%Welcome!
Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

Alone In a Cabin With Two Strange Men – For a Month
Yup. For the second July in a row, I’m going to be spending the entire month of July holed up in a small cabin with two men I’ve never met in person before. Sounds like the plot for an R-rated … Continue reading
#FirstLineFriday (a day late)
Why am I publishing a ‘Friday’ post on Saturday, you might be asking? Well … to put it simply, my old computer was dying. I spent most of the week in safe mode rescuing nearly 20 gigabytes of files and … Continue reading
My Favorite Child
We’ve all witnessed the occasional, always distasteful experience of meeting a parent who clearly favors one of their children over another. And we wonder how that can be because a parent should love all of their kids equally, right? You … Continue reading
An Author’s Learning Curve
Reading a post last month by fellow author Ruth Ann Nordin, I was impressed with how candid she was with her readers. It’s titled, “How An Author Decides What Book To Write Next.” The blue text (title) is the link … Continue reading
Interviewing Characters
Interviewing a character?! Sounds a little crazy, doesn’t it? When I first heard about the technique, I thought it was too. I mean, c’mon. Seriously? How can you interview someone who isn’t real? But then I realized that all of … Continue reading
Happy Early Thanksgiving – and Updates
This has been a strange, busy, and kind of month. It started off with me writing the final chapter in Fin’s book (third and final in the Casteloria series), then trying to edit it while meeting the yearly NaNo goal … Continue reading
Dear Readers…
Dear Readers, Imagine this scenario … a young man spends two years earning his credentials as a chef at a top rated culinary school. Now imagine another young man who loves to cook but, for whatever reason, wasn’t accepted at … Continue reading
Deadlines and Dust Bunnies
I’m not sure why the creators of National Novel Writing Month chose November for the big writing challenge that’s turned into a worldwide event. But they did. And authors who choose to participate, especially those who live in the United … Continue reading
Coach’s Boys Available in Paperback!
What?! Did you read that right? You sure did! The Coach’s Boys series, including its first companion story, Holding Out For Love, is now available in paperback. All eight of them! I know you’re thinking that all of the covers … Continue reading
A Quick Question For My Readers
I’ve been pondering something for a while now. While I love Facebook, they have made it virtually impossible for authors to reach anyone when they write a post there. They prefer that we pay to advertise them and I’m just … Continue reading
