Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

Nearly twenty-one at the time, Evie’s heart broke at the loss. But it was the agony it caused her parents that hurt the most. Especially when the judge, presiding over the civil case the Elliston’s brought against the driver of … Continue reading →
Well, technically I’m not slacking off, because technically what’s been going on for the past forty-eight hours isn’t my fault. I clicked on a link in Twitter a couple of nights ago and have been playing Helen of Troy ever … Continue reading →
With the release date for For Baby’s Sake scheduled for November 30th, I’ve been working with the graphic artist who will be designing the cover (nothing like leaving it until the last minute, hmm?). Wanting to cross all of my … Continue reading →
With the holidays fast approaching, I’ve been lamenting the fact that I haven’t been able to have a Poinsettia plant in my house for almost a decade. With a few cats in the house, it’s just not worth the potential … Continue reading →
I wrote this a few nights ago in preparation for Monday, December twelfth. I wasn’t sure I could handle getting the words out that day, and so I decided to tackle it early. Turns out I’m sharing it even earlier, … Continue reading →
My mom was having a big birthday party for me! Including a genuine, honest-to-goodness bakery cake! In our family that was quite a treat because all birthday cakes began with Betty Crocker, and ended with some yucky decorating frosting that … Continue reading →
I waste more time on YouTube than I’ll ever own up to, as is the case tonight, watching some of my favorite videos. Dirt Road, by long-time favorite Sawyer Brown, made this particular playlist. The message in the song is … Continue reading →
Last night, as I read Tim O’ Brien’s blog reflecting on his life as he approaches his fiftieth birthday, I realized I’d been doing a bit of reflecting myself this past year. Not because of a milestone birthday, but rather … Continue reading →
When did this happen? Where did 2011 go? And how did it go so quickly? Three weeks?! Yes. It just hit me a couple of hours ago that the holidays are upon us. Yes. I was aware of all of … Continue reading →
