Enza
I had a little bird, and its name was Enza. I opened the window, and in-flew-Enza. It is a time of innocence. The Women’s Suffrage Movement gains more attention every day. Patriotism is at its peak as the war to end all wars rages an ocean away. Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

I think Jingle likes my office Christmas tree more than the cats. Uh-oh. I think there's more #christmasmischief to come.I think the reason I like to write sweet romance is because I like to be happy. And what better way to be happy than to write stories that always end in a #happilyeverafter? If you like reading romance novels, head on over to my website where you can get two free, full-length books today. http://kristykjames.net/free-starter-library/Until I found the recipe for the @hungryelephant non-fathead dough pizza crust, I either went crustless, or used low carb lavash bread. But I won't have to do that anymore. This was a fabulous bacon pizza - with a crust I'll be using again and again. Heading back to their YouTube channel to see if I can find a non-fathead dough dinner roll (experimenting early for Thanksgiving). :)Facebook

Not Tonight, Dear, I Have a Headache
I have been thinking a lot about my life this year. Given the way 20/20 has gone, both for the world and for me personally, it’s not surprising that I would be reflecting on everything from my health to my … Continue reading
5,628
I’ll bet you’re wondering what that number in the subject line means. Does it refer to money? Or does it have something to do with time? Nope. It’s actually the total of 3,900 and 1,728. And now you’re probably wondering … Continue reading
Why Men Should Read Romance Novels
I know. I know. I’ve heard all the arguments about why romance novels are a waste of time. They set women up to have unrealistic expectations. Expectations the average guy can’t hope to meet. They make us want things mortal … Continue reading
Hello, Summer!
It’s been a fairly chilly spring in my neck of the woods and, if you know me at all, you know I’ve been loving it. It’s warming up in a hurry though and tomorrow, the a/c’s will be getting their … Continue reading
The Unluckiest Girl on the Planet?
“How does it feel to be the unluckiest girl on the planet?” This was the greeting from my sister after I was diagnosed with two different kinds of cancer – and Influenza A – during the first three weeks in February. At … Continue reading
Avengers Rant (yes, from me)
Anyone who knows me, or knows much about me, knows I love the Avengers. Captain America, Ironman, Thor, and all the rest. Even Antman, which (to me) sounded ridiculous. But since I’m a Paul Rudd fan… Yeah. I watched it. … Continue reading
Fifth Time is the Charm!
Okay. I admit I just pulled that number out of the air. I’m sure if I’d been counting, I’ve tried far more than five recipes for low/lower carb bread and biscuits. Some were tolerable. Some were wet and kind of … Continue reading
The Best Part of Waking Up?
And no, this isn’t a reference to coffee commercials. It’s a question I’ve been pondering for a few days now and I’ve been reflecting on what ‘waking up’ has meant to me through the years. And it’s meant very different … Continue reading
“You Do Know This is a Television Show, Don’t You?”
To the best of my knowledge, I’ve only ever joined AND participated in one group for a television show. A Million Little Things. I love that show. It’s one of very few I’ve ever loved so much I can hardly … Continue reading
