Welcome!
Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

Meet Sam
Fellow author, Karen Pokras Toz, posted a blog today about her adorable cat. To me it looked like she was about the same size as my cat, Sam, whose weight fluctuates between 20 and 26 pounds, probably depending on how … Continue reading
100 Things
Today I was asked to make a list of at least one hundred words that describe who I am. My first thought was, “Okay.” My second thought, several minutes later was, “Who am I?” Because after listing mom, writer, music … Continue reading
Happy Anniversary To Me
I knew the anniversary was approaching, but it didn’t hit me until just now that it’s actually going to be this Thursday. Yup. The third anniversary of my very first (and hopefully last) auto accident. Maybe someday it will slip … Continue reading
Bowls, Anyone?
I’ve been blogging so long now that I can’t remember what I might have shared with you already. If I haven’t mentioned it before, my son is autistic, and a very interesting young man. I actually got to spend some … Continue reading
Looking For a Lightbulb Moment
I’ve started three blogs since late last night…and have yet to finish a single one. It’s not that they don’t have potential, at least as far as I’m concerned, but for whatever reason, they just aren’t working for me Nope, … Continue reading
It’s That Time of Year Again
I almost threw a small box away this evening…and then realized I shouldn’t do that. It’s almost October and I need to start stocking up again. Why, you might ask? Because Christmas is less than three months away, of course. … Continue reading
Back To The Drawing Board
Looking at the ten day forecast, I have to say that I’m very glad that autumn seems to be here to stay. And hopefully we’ll avoid Indian summer altogether. Why? Because I need to start spending some quality time in … Continue reading
YES!!!
This week will be noted in history books as a very stressful week for me. Okay, so maybe it will only be my personal, mental history books, but it will never be forgotten. For a couple of hours anyway. At … Continue reading
I Could Sure Use Some Help Here
Okay, I admit it. I’m not a really big fan of crime dramas. They literally can give me nightmares. Maybe because they’re often based on reality. Real cases that made the news. And that kind of stuff really bothers me. … Continue reading
Funny Things
Per usual, I checked the weather forecast before I went to bed last night. If storms are predicted, I’ll unplug my computer (thanks to horror stories about lightening strikes frying motherboards). Sure enough rain and scattered storms were predicted. Of … Continue reading
