Welcome!
Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

Take Some Time Tuesday #1 … and National Sing Out Day
So… Everyone likes to feel appreciated. If you’re reading this, you’d be one of the ‘everyone.’ Know who else likes to feel appreciated too? Your significant other. Back in the day, when things were new and every little thing about … Continue reading
Just for Fun Friday #1
In turning over my new leaf, I’m going to start embracing everything that’s positive. Everything I can anyway, because let’s face it, there will always be things that are far from pleasant. But, if I look for it, there’s always … Continue reading
National No Dirty Dishes Day… and a Problem Solved
I like this holiday. It’s practical, and it makes you feel good at the end of the day. It needs to be followed up with new holidays like: Cobweb Removal Day, Power Wash the Siding Day, and my favorite idea … Continue reading
National Porridge Day - & a Way Back Wednesday
Just out of curiosity, I found myself checking out a website of silly unusual holidays and, as you saw in the subject line, today is National Porridge Day. I’m not sure I’ve ever eaten anything called porridge. Oatmeal, Cream of … Continue reading
This is for the Birds!
Literally. I’m not kidding. Not even a little bit. What am I not kidding about? Well, my daughter and I have been tossing an idea around for about a year now, and a few weeks ago, we finally took the … Continue reading
7 Things
There comes a point in everyone’s life when they have to make some decisions. The brownie or the ice cream? The movie or the book? Just do (insert chore here) or keep procrastinating. Live your life or keep letting it … Continue reading
Never Say Never
I’m never going to ______ (insert anything you wish here). When I grow up, I’m never going to eat another butter bean (and I have not). My child will never act out in public (well…). I’m never going to stop … Continue reading
Thoughts From My Heart, 1
For a long time now, I’ve kind of resented the fact that authors aren’t supposed to have opinions about controversial subjects. Not if we want to sell books, at any rate. At the top of the ‘no-no’ list are politics … Continue reading
9 Days, 9 Books, .99 Cents Each!
Hey, everyone! I’m going to ‘blame’ this idea on the knee deep snow in my yard - and the frigid temperatures! - but as I was sitting here a couple of nights ago, I had a thought. Admitting to that … Continue reading
Another Valentine’s Day
You would think the fact that I write sweet romance, Valentine’s Day would be on my radar. But it’s not. At least not today - until a little voice reprimanded me. Yup. Nothing quite like being lectured by my own … Continue reading
