Welcome!
Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

Poisoned Cats and Liquid Charcoal
Yes, it’s that time again. What time might that be? Well…it’s rerun season on television, so I decided to do a little rerunning of my own. This post was ‘originally aired’ on November 18, 2011. Hope you enjoy reading it … Continue reading
Chasing Butterflies
I don’t know how many of you remember a song called Dog and Butterfly by a group called Heart, but it’s always been one of my favorites. And tonight, as I was contemplating some changes I’m going to be making … Continue reading
Christmas Novella Cover Reveal
Since I have loads of stuff to edit, thanks to NaNoWriMo, I’m going to make this short and sweet (I hope!). I decided to try my hand at digital-cover making, and liked the one for my new Christmas novella, Erin’s … Continue reading
Misadventures In Home Ownership, Part 3 (rerun)
And now for the final installment… I quickly called the second cleaning service back to let them know we finally got the lid off and they could come anytime. Uh-huh. Given it was now late afternoon, we’d have to wait … Continue reading
Misadventures In Home Ownership, Part 2 (rerun)
Continuing where we left off yesterday…. She was a big help there. Somewhere in the yard was a septic tank. And on the top of the tank was a lid. A lid that we’d have to find, expose and remove. Yeah right. Like that … Continue reading
Why Can’t Life Be Like a Love Song?
I play a Facebook game called SongPop with my daughter, step-mother, and a friend. You have to guess songs and artists faster than your opponents in order to win. I’ve been appalled to discover that I don’t know as much … Continue reading
Something Different
Since I’m finally seeing good progress in my newest book, what I’m calling my modern day fairytale, I’ve decided to start sharing some of the music I’ve been listening to. Maybe not every day, but a few times a week. … Continue reading
Holy Smoke!
I can’t believe it! With forty-five minutes left in the day, I just noticed the date. Four years. Four years ago today, ‘Ed’ ran a stop light on the highway and totaled my van. For a while, I thought he’d … Continue reading
Holy Hasenpfeffer, Batman! I Have ‘H!’
For reasons too numerous to get into, I tend to use the fence between weird and smart aleck as a balance beam. The only thing is, my mouth tends to get me into situations I could easily avoid…if I’d just … Continue reading
Autumn In Michigan
My daughter and I went on another picture-taking expedition today. Surprisingly enough, the ones I took turned out really good, too. I was just playing around with the camera here, but love the way it turned out. Love, love, love … Continue reading
