My Book Progress
Steven34.9%Welcome!
Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

The joys of parenting
I know I’ve mentioned before that I have an autistic son. As I’m sure all parents of special needs children have experienced, I’ve gone through just about every negative emotion you could ever imagine. Fear, depression, hopelessness, frustration, and more. … Continue reading
Well, I’m bored
For awhile today I thought I might be coming down with some sort of flu bug but, thank goodness, I was wrong. Maybe it was just a culmination of too many days in a row with too little sleep, thanks … Continue reading
Uh-oh
It’s been a long week. Yeah, I know it’s only Tuesday, but I mean the past seven days or so. After going way overboard on adding new pool exercises last week, I’m left with the after effects, which had me … Continue reading
Homemade bread
Eighty-one days until October. Something about a storm this morning reminded me of my favorite time of year…autumn. And yes, I love fall thunderstorms. It may be due to the fact that the storms aren’t like the violent ones that … Continue reading
Wake me up when it’s over please!
I’m sitting here thinking I might have to grab a couple of toothpicks from the kitchen to keep my eyelids open. The only thing stopping me is the fact that I’ve never had any desire for a facial piercing of … Continue reading
I don’t like snakes…
I like to laugh. In fact, it’s one of my favorite pastimes. So when something happens that strikes me funny, I usually don’t trust it to memory, but write it down so I’ll never forget. Sometimes, though, it can take … Continue reading
Another blast from the past
To explain here, my son is autistic. High functioning, but autistic nonetheless. He tends to get enthused about things that, frankly, don’t enthuse me much at all. Take cartoons. Clearly there is something not quite right about a mom who … Continue reading
I kill people
There isn’t much about the whole writing process that I don’t like. Except the editing. And I don’t think I’ll ever enjoy that. I also don’t like taking out the extra space between sentences, partly because it’s not wrong. Mostly … Continue reading
Writing is kind of like riding a rollercoaster
The closer it gets to having some of my books available, the more nervous I’m getting. It’s one thing to handpick who reads your material. It’s another matter entirely to make it available to everyone. A few months before my … Continue reading
What a day!
Ever have one of those days when you drag yourself out of bed and just know it’s going to be one of those days? A day when you have a list as long as your arm of things you’d like … Continue reading
