This hasn’t been a red-letter week for me in the fitness department. I’ve been slacking off on the getting up and moving every 30-60 minutes … and we’re not even going to talk about the treadmill in this post.
[bctt tweet=”Good health comes about one step at a time – as long as each step moves you toward your goal.”]
I have kept up with the moving around more though. My house seems to have been invaded by flies and I’m frequently on the hunt for the one that likes to bug me while I’m working. I don’t know where that little sucker hides, but when I find him, I’m going to squash him in a heartbeat.
As for weight loss? I don’t know. I managed to get into some gluten last week and am retaining fluid again. It’s getting better but it will be another few days – at least – before I know what’s going on there. For now, I just have to keep reminding myself that good health is my goal and it’s not a race. It’s one step forward every day. As long as I keep making progress, I’ll be content.
With the arrival of fall … and cooler weather (thank God!) … I’ll be busier in my kitchen though. I don’t enjoy cooking in the summer so I tend to go with fast and easy rather than homemade and healthy (or healthier).
And that’s about all I have to report. With highs in the upper 50s and mid-60s for the next couple of weeks, I’ll be doing better at everything. Why? Because I’m more awake and alert from October through April. Someday, I’ll buy a house with a real furnace and central air and then I won’t care what season it is. 🙂
How about everyone else? How did you do this week?

I did good to take two walks this week. 🙂
I’m with you. The cooler air is wonderful. I love it.
Getting fit is easier said than done, isn’t it? 😀
And yes. Fall is the best time of the year. I got to wear a sweater today for the first time in probably six months. Yay!
😀
