Enza
I had a little bird, and its name was Enza. I opened the window, and in-flew-Enza. It is a time of innocence. The Women’s Suffrage Movement gains more attention every day. Patriotism is at its peak as the war to end all wars rages an ocean away. On the homefront, life is being lived like a Mark Twain novel - until an unseen enemy, deadlier than any human foe, threatens Mankind’s very existence. ***Affiliate link(s) below*** (Explanation in Terms of Service) More info →Welcome!
Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

The Difference Between Night & Day
During the past eleven or so years, living a vampiresque sort of life, I’ve missed seeing the sunrise. I’ve missed the limited winter daylight hours. And, if I’m being completely honest, I’ve missed living like a normal person. I’d convinced myself – … Continue reading
Finding My Place
Wow. In looking through fifty – fifty! – unpublished blog drafts, this one was at the top of the list. And, apparently, I wrote it a year ago yesterday. What really jumped out at me is that it’s as applicable to … Continue reading
New Writing Prompt & NaNoWriMo Update
I had to chuckle when I chose the photo I’d use for today’s post. “My Plan.” I make a lot of plans. From day-to-day and from year-to-year. Sometimes, those plans go off smooth as butter. Other time, I can almost … Continue reading
Updates and Some News
So… I mentioned, a post or two ago, that I’d have some news some might love – but others would not. And I’ll get to that in a minute. First, the updates. The 2019 National Novel Writing Month kicks off … Continue reading
A Bird in the Hand…
…is a much better saying than ‘A Bird in the Van.’ But that’s exactly what happened tonight. When I realized how much ibuprofen I’ve taken in the past month or so, I decided it was time to find a different way … Continue reading
Sweetheart Sunday 10/20/19
Keeping it super short today. I’ve actually found something that may be helping – as long as I avoid typing. So first, I’m going to share a song that kind of reminds me of Riley and Margo – the couple … Continue reading
Will Patton … and a Would You Rather
A few years ago, I couldn’t imagine enjoying audible books. It took a while for me to get used to the digital versions, which I almost always prefer now. I say ‘almost’ because I still miss turning pages. I also … Continue reading
Good intentions…
The road to ‘you know where’ is paved with them. My planner and kanban board are filled with them too. But, for a change, I’m determined to start accomplishing my goals. You know … as opposed to just writing them … Continue reading
Sweetheart Saturday – Series Inspiration
While the first book in my new series has nothing to do with most of my favorite movies, sometimes, I need a big dose of romance to put me in the mood … to write. And when I do, I … Continue reading
This WYR Could Work in a Story…
Football?! Did Kristy K. James really post a photo of a sports game – football?! – on her blog, you might be asking. Why yes. Yes, I did. But not because I’ve developed a love for sports. I’d still rather watch dust settle or … Continue reading
