Welcome!
Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

I think Jingle likes my office Christmas tree more than the cats. Uh-oh. I think there's more #christmasmischief to come.I think the reason I like to write sweet romance is because I like to be happy. And what better way to be happy than to write stories that always end in a #happilyeverafter? If you like reading romance novels, head on over to my website where you can get two free, full-length books today. http://kristykjames.net/free-starter-library/Until I found the recipe for the @hungryelephant non-fathead dough pizza crust, I either went crustless, or used low carb lavash bread. But I won't have to do that anymore. This was a fabulous bacon pizza - with a crust I'll be using again and again. Heading back to their YouTube channel to see if I can find a non-fathead dough dinner roll (experimenting early for Thanksgiving). :)Facebook

Happy New Year’s Eve Eve!
~~~ When I think about the fact that there’s only one more day left in 2014, I can’t help but wonder where the year has gone. It seems like only a few weeks since we were trudging through thigh-deep snow … Continue reading →
Sometimes It Pays To Ignore Your Doctor
This probably isn’t a big deal for anyone who doesn’t live with hypothyroidism, but I’ve known for a couple of weeks that I’ve been feeling better. And I’ve known it was because of a new supplement I started around December … Continue reading →
Merry Christmas! (yes, I’m one of ‘those’ people)
Any other year, I’d say the crazy will be arriving in my house as soon as I wake up in the morning. However, this year, it arrived on Monday – with the dreaded call to a ‘rooter’ man to come … Continue reading →
Cover Reveal Time!
With Ed being a police detective, I really wanted to come up with a clever way to announce his cover, but it’s been one of those weeks and ‘clever’ is just not happening tonight. Even so, I’m totally excited to … Continue reading →
Ed’s Book Is Almost Here!!!
When I wrote The Daddy Pact, it was a standalone story. I’d planned to write Sam and Holly’s book too, but only as a grownup version of something I did when I was a teenager. They weren’t going to be … Continue reading →
Coming Home For Christmas (movie review)
This gem from last year was a very pleasant surprise. The first recommendation to pop up when I paid a visit to Netflix, it looked Christmassy enough for me, so I thought … why not? Per usual, I had to … Continue reading →
Puppies, Puppies Everywhere
Okay. They’re not everywhere, but it sure feels like it. We’d been wanting a companion for Jack, who still seems to miss Shadow after more than a year, so I was kind of on the lookout for just the right … Continue reading →
…and it Tipped Right Over
Earlier this week, my uncle posted something on Facebook for an event called Shawhaven Farms Holiday Lights. Their website says they have more than 40,000. They actually have around 65,000 and let me tell you, it’s awesome! My daughter and … Continue reading →
My Warped Sense of Humor
After getting ten inches of hair chopped off in August – after asking the stylist to take three inches off – I’ve been considering cutting my own hair again. I probably won’t, but I’ve been thinking about it – and … Continue reading →
