My Book Progress
Steven34.9%Welcome!
Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

Check Your Holiday Spirit at the Door….
I know I’ve used this song a few times, but it’s really the only one I can find that is so appropriate for so many situations… ~~~ Recently, I’ve run into two people like the ones in the video. Last … Continue reading
My Kingdom For Some Stuffing
Okay, so I probably wouldn’t give an entire kingdom for stuffing (or dressing, depending on which part of the country you’re from), but I’m surely hoping that my latest experiments will turn out something edible. Maybe even good. Yum……….. You … Continue reading
12 Dates of Christmas (movie review)
I first saw this 2011 movie last year. I hadn’t been sure what to expect. I was only familiar with two cast members, Jayne Eastwood who plays Gloria in Haven (one of my favorite things) and Amy Smart. As far … Continue reading
My Feline ‘Breakfast Club’
It’s hard to believe that next year, The Breakfast Club (1985) will be thirty years old. I’m not sure how old it was when my youngest daughter found it on a movie channel, but she fell in love with it … Continue reading
I Am, Officially, A Wimp
Last night, for the first time since I was fifteen, I went to a high school football game. The actual temperature was around twenty-seven degrees, but the windchill hovered near twenty. Knowing it was going to be really cold, like … Continue reading
The Definition of a Hero
One of Webster’s definitions for hero is: a person who is admired for great or brave acts or fine qualities. I think that perfectly describes many, many soldiers throughout the world. Living in the USA, I’m especially proud of, and … Continue reading
NaNoWriMo … and Detective Ed Winslow
It’s that time of year again … again. It seems like only a week or so ago that I was doing Camp NaNoWriMo to jump start A Cool Summer in Paradise, but I guess it’s actually been four months ago. … Continue reading
Strange Addictions
Like niche segments of the population, I am addicted to television programs like Sleepy Hollow, Parenthood, and Haven. I’m also slightly addicted to brownies with lots of walnuts and chicken (not necessarily together). And is it sad that the first … Continue reading
