Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

I think Jingle likes my office Christmas tree more than the cats. Uh-oh. I think there's more #christmasmischief to come.I think the reason I like to write sweet romance is because I like to be happy. And what better way to be happy than to write stories that always end in a #happilyeverafter? If you like reading romance novels, head on over to my website where you can get two free, full-length books today. http://kristykjames.net/free-starter-library/Until I found the recipe for the @hungryelephant non-fathead dough pizza crust, I either went crustless, or used low carb lavash bread. But I won't have to do that anymore. This was a fabulous bacon pizza - with a crust I'll be using again and again. Heading back to their YouTube channel to see if I can find a non-fathead dough dinner roll (experimenting early for Thanksgiving). :)Facebook

It’s That Time of Year Again
I almost threw a small box away this evening…and then realized I shouldn’t do that. It’s almost October and I need to start stocking up again. Why, you might ask? Because Christmas is less than three months away, of course. … Continue reading
Back To The Drawing Board
Looking at the ten day forecast, I have to say that I’m very glad that autumn seems to be here to stay. And hopefully we’ll avoid Indian summer altogether. Why? Because I need to start spending some quality time in … Continue reading
YES!!!
This week will be noted in history books as a very stressful week for me. Okay, so maybe it will only be my personal, mental history books, but it will never be forgotten. For a couple of hours anyway. At … Continue reading
I Could Sure Use Some Help Here
Okay, I admit it. I’m not a really big fan of crime dramas. They literally can give me nightmares. Maybe because they’re often based on reality. Real cases that made the news. And that kind of stuff really bothers me. … Continue reading
Funny Things
Per usual, I checked the weather forecast before I went to bed last night. If storms are predicted, I’ll unplug my computer (thanks to horror stories about lightening strikes frying motherboards). Sure enough rain and scattered storms were predicted. Of … Continue reading
Reminiscing
A little over a week ago the prevailing question of the day seemed to be some version of, “Do you remember what you were doing?” Of course it was in reference to 9-1-1. Yes, I remember exactly what I was … Continue reading
I Love My Dog!
My baby… After adopting six month old Jack from the Humane Society three years ago, we were quickly educated in some new facts of doggy life. Part Pit Bull, part Boxer, part Shar-Pei, and part hound meant that Jack was … Continue reading
My Dad, the Mushrooms, and the Snake
Twelve days ago was the eighth anniversary of the death of the most important man in my life. My dad. Which is probably why he’s been on my mind so much lately. Not that he isn’t always on my mind, … Continue reading
So funny, but yet…
…it isn’t. I’ve been sitting here giggling off and on all night. And hoping like mad that the people who live across the street from me aren’t doing the same thing. If they are, it means they were either outside, … Continue reading
