My Book Progress
Steven34.9%Welcome!
Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

What is it About Sports Movies?
Yeah, I got sucked into another one. And…I suppose I have to admit that it was because it starred Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene (Emmet and Alice Cullen from the Twilight series). Okay, so it wasn’t the only reason. The … Continue reading
Eye of the Beholder
Body shaming. A new catchphrase designed to bring attention to all sorts of issues – from obesity, extreme thinness caused by eating disorders, and everything in between. In part, it means that people shouldn’t judge others based on their appearance. … Continue reading
Proper Etiquette When You Have a Cold #3
This post was originally published in January of 2012. I’ve ‘re-blogged’ it at least once, and find that it’s just as relevant today as it was when I wrote it. Especially since I’m fighting off the first cold I’ve had … Continue reading
Read Lots of Books?
Maybe it’s because I dislike my time being wasted with an endless stream of ads, but I love Netflix. Not only can I find the quirky movies I tend to love, but there are no commercials. That makes it well … Continue reading
Happy Early Thanksgiving – and Updates
This has been a strange, busy, and kind of month. It started off with me writing the final chapter in Fin’s book (third and final in the Casteloria series), then trying to edit it while meeting the yearly NaNo goal … Continue reading
Hard Choices
You might recall last December that my family added two new members when we adopted Dagwood and Blondie. Adorable and energetic, I expected them to fit in with the rest of my zoo with no problem. But I was wrong. … Continue reading
Dear Readers…
Dear Readers, Imagine this scenario … a young man spends two years earning his credentials as a chef at a top rated culinary school. Now imagine another young man who loves to cook but, for whatever reason, wasn’t accepted at … Continue reading
Deadlines and Dust Bunnies
I’m not sure why the creators of National Novel Writing Month chose November for the big writing challenge that’s turned into a worldwide event. But they did. And authors who choose to participate, especially those who live in the United … Continue reading
My Favorite Things, Week 4 (x2)
We have already established the fact that I love fall. And one thing I especially enjoy during the cooler months is ice cream. Unfortunately, when the temperatures are soaring, rich desserts don’t always agree with my stomach. It’s probably why, … Continue reading
Great Books, Good Books, Bad Books
When I really, really love a book, I don’t want to get to the last chapter. And I want to avoid it so much, I’ll figure out ways to prolong having to read it. Maybe I’ll “need” to bake some … Continue reading
