Hi, I’m Kristy, lover of God, family, friends, good books, and yummy food. I’m also on a quest to get in the best shape of my life. As a clean and wholesome/Christian romance author, I spend much of my days sitting at a desk. And we all know that a sedentary lifestyle isn’t conducive to good health. So it’s time to change all that. To start counteracting the side effects of too little activity, hypothyroidism, and gluten intolerance. Yeah, It’s time to get busy because I plan on living to be a happy, healthy, and energetic centenarian. I also plan on writing a lot more books! 🙂

I’ll bet you’re wondering what that number in the subject line means. Does it refer to money? Or does it have something to do with time? Nope. It’s actually the total of 3,900 and 1,728. And now you’re probably wondering … Continue reading
I Struck Chocolate Gold!

This is a Test
I could say, “of the emergency broadcast system,” but I won’t. This is actually a test to see if I can start dictating things like this blog post, newsletters, and Facebook posts. So, just a quick warning, this post could … Continue reading
Finding My Place
Wow. In looking through fifty – fifty! – unpublished blog drafts, this one was at the top of the list. And, apparently, I wrote it a year ago yesterday. What really jumped out at me is that it’s as applicable to … Continue reading

Lazy Days and… I’m SO excited!
The writing prompt today is: How do you like to spend lazy days? That’s kind of a loaded question for me and all I can say is … it depends on the day. Some days, I love spending with family and friends. … Continue reading
The #Chaffle Train – and a WYR
The chaffle what? I know. The term confused me for a minute too. Kind of like Bennifer, Brangelina, or other portmanteaus like breathalyzer (breath & analyzer), mimsy (miserable & flimsy), and bodacious (bold & audacious). Little did I know, when I first … Continue reading
Life, Lemons, and Going with the Flow
If you have followed me at all, you’ll know I’m not – nor have I ever been – a summer lover. I’m usually counting down the days to October first like a child looks forward to Christmas morning. This summer … Continue reading

Fifth Time is the Charm!
Okay. I admit I just pulled that number out of the air. I’m sure if I’d been counting, I’ve tried far more than five recipes for low/lower carb bread and biscuits. Some were tolerable. Some were wet and kind of … Continue reading
